Jennifer Mien Mien Lin’s photographic practice is primarily driven by sexuality; and its capacity to elevate the female form; nude or otherwise. Her desire to photograph is also defined by the feeling of never belonging anywhere completely. As an artist of multi nationalities, she has lived in Taiwan, China, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France, England, Canada and now the US. Lin uses the female body in her work to illuminate this sense of displacement. Her photography reveals an aesthetically beautiful fascination with the navigations of the female body through different, foreign environments and the relationships that are forged visually between space and body.
